2. Religious Gatherings

The Christ Church Café is owned and run by Christ Church Midrand. While right of admission is reserved, we welcome people of all faiths to eat and drink at our café. Should you wish to host a religious event at our café, please note the following:

2.1 The Christ Church Café is primarily a family restaurant that is open to the public; as such, we do not encourage events with amplification or musical instruments, unless this is able to be accommodated under exceptional circumstances and by prior arrangement with management.

2.2. Because the Christ Church Café is owned and run by Christ Church Midrand, it is important to us that the religious practices and doctrines that are preached in any of our venues are such that we can stand by and support the event. For this reason, we ask that anyone wishing to host a Christian event of any nature at the Christ Church Café please declare their denomination, their beliefs and the full content of their “talks” or “sermons”. Christ Church Midrand does not wish to be associated with any teaching that is contrary to the Reformed Christian doctrine on which our church is founded. (For more information on our denomination, REACH SA, and the beliefs of our church, please see

2.3. Should any of the above be disagreeable or inconvenient, we reserve the right to ask you to host your religious event elsewhere and ask that you respect the convictions and beliefs of our church.

3. Smoking

The Christ Church Café shares the campus with Christ Church Preparatory School and College and, as such, is subject to the anti-smoking, anti-vaping and anti-cannabis policies adopted by the school. No smoking of any kind is permitted at any of our tables or anywhere else on the school campus.

The Christ Church Café is owned by Christ Church Midrand and, as per the laws governing the church, does not permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages on our property under any circumstances whatsoever.
